Thanx For sharing.. wish I was proficient with pix posting.But have never taken the time . Mom is a Proud 88yrs Young And doing quite Well,,We Have a treasured Pix of Mom and Dad when Making Turtle soup in The Big Cast Iron Kettles the summer We lost dad, . that was 2 yrs. Ago...i have A neat Pix of My dad ,sitting on a Park bench at WAIKIKI Beach , with Diamond head in the background ... We were waiting for my son to come back with Ice Cream , The 3 of us were there in 1999 , the result of a Promise a year earlier ,That if My then Ailing Pop got Better ,(He lived til aug.2008 ,93yrs ),I would take him back to Hawaii,(Mom Would never agree to Go )where He Spent Some Time R&R between Fighting for the 4 Battle Stars He Earned During WW2 ,,And You Know what? ,Dad was Quite a guy for the gals back in thoseWW 2 days(could be Why Mom did not care to go to the trashy(sic)Islands ) . He knew his way around the island Very Well, and knew exactly where a lot of Key interesting places were ,,,And neat Beautiful hideaways that still have not changed,,.. Showed me the hospital where he was recuperating when FDR rolled thru for a visit .. Today My yougest brother turned 50 and We Had a Party, and We All Missed seeing Dad there,,, Dad was a Dandy !
