As Larry said, that's probably an IXB-5 per the tractor ref books, if it's the original engine; I don't have any X's on my Herc list, but I don't pretend to have 'em all listed. If parts NLA thru local sources, try: Jerry Biro at herculesparts.com (phone quicker than email); or herculesengine.com (they bought Herc's spare parts and also mfr parts); or Kantor.com. Many other obsolete parts dealers exist. Seems I saw a mention that IX parts were getting hard to find, and that some boat outfit had some, but I can't lay my hand on the note. Mauals: EBay?? (usually cheaper than the manual dealers). Good luck.
