Dad has a 1030, it was the tractor I always ran as a kid. They are good tractors, but the one thing to watch for is compression in the radiator. Take off the cap, while its running and if it has blow by in there you have some sleeve problems. Ours was always cold blooded, never heard of one that wasnt, easy on fuel and handy for heavy or light work. I read over on the case forum one time about how to make the brakes work good, but i dont remember what the remedy was, ours never had much bite to them. We also had to replace the rear axle bearings and seals years ago. Steering isnt real strong on ours, but maybe our pump is weak. If it has the set back front end, might not be a good canidate for a loader, dads was a row crop and front end was set forward. Pto speed on them was around 1700, so if you use it for pto work don't run them full throttle. Pto clutches are kind of a pain to adjust but if you keep them adjusted up you shouldnt have any problems with it. Good luck with it.
