McCormick-Deering 22-36 I am going to dismantle my "bad" engine. I have two of these 4 3/4 inch bore monsters. The one I am dismantling is stuck. I have tried things that have not worked...the usual soaking in various fluids. The image shows my access to the parts. I am now proposing that I loosen one rod at a time and then pound down (really up to the top of the block) the sleeve-piston-rod unit. How hard will it be to pound out the sleeve? What would be your suggestions as to what steel plate, other device to employ? Thanks, Tom
