It's probably because most John Deere owners tend to be a little "smug about it". It is nice knowing you've finally gotten the best there is, all things considered. Sure, some models of the JD tractors had...and still may have their faults... in fact all manufacturers have built some downright inferior products at one time or another...and there never has been a perfect anything created by man. John Deere has survived all the tests of time coming through the economic lows in agriculture and well as the national doldrums still as the original company without merger with, or aquisition by, any other company. Few major American companies can make the same claim.....VERY FEW in the farm equipment business.
