NOPE I was there like July 1 and it was still snowed in then buttttttttttt Im sure it was opened maybe a week later. It was ONLY a small portion closed on the Northeast corner so we still got to see pretty much everything. THATS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BLUEEEEEEEEEEEE WATER IVE EVER SEEN. So blue because its soooooooo deep (1,900 feet) and all the colors get absorbed except blue so thats what the eyes see reflected back. If anyone ever goes there many of the services DO NOT BEGIN UNTIL JULY 4 as thats when the snow finally gets removed.
The West side of Mt Rainier Natl Park was fogged in.
If a person could ONLY see one Natl Park, Id say it would have to be Glacier,,,,,,if only one lake, Crater Lake,,,,,,,If time for 3 parks relatively close, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion
E mail me if you are interested in any pics, but I will post them on my Webshots finally but hey you will see for yourself and pics cant do it justice
