LLA I'm somewhat puzzled by the fact we have thousands of acres in the PIC set a side program after the tax payer paid 70% to have terracing done. Then the farmer can sell it at a higher price because the terraces are now on the farm.
I do think the farm subcities are like any thing else our government does, the big guy gets the big bite, the little farmer gets a bite in the rear.
The corperate farms pay little tax, as everything is included in their pay package, all deductable for the corperation. I have cemented many driveways at the rental house as they are often called, new garages for the new pickups and cars, new houses etc.
Look up EWG farm subcities, it isn't user friendly, but the price taqs are there once you figure out how to plow through the site. You can sort by zip code, top rank from top to bottom of a given area / county, or see what your neighbor gets. It is trickey unless you know all the farmers childres by name corperation names etc.
