Some people swear by Sea Foam but I really don't know if they know what they're talking about. My one and only experience with it is in the 10 year-old 5HP B&S transfer pump on the water wagon. Summer of 08 it started running lean so out of desperation I dumped in some Sea Foam. It straightened out and ran fine for the rest of the season. Summer of 09, same thing, ran lean, dumped in Sea foam and it straightened out. This summer it acted up again only Sea foam did not cure the problem. The B&S was using oil so I bought a new pump. None of my other old engines has ever gummed up so I haven't used additives for anything other than this one engine. Jim
