Well, they're quite different products, although it's fair to call them both snake oil. Sea Foam is a solvent, Marvel Mystery Oil is a lubricant.
I've tried Sea Foam to clear the gunk out of a gummed-up carb. It didn't seem to help, although some folks claim it works wonders. I always end up tearing down the carb.
Now I religiously add a bit of MMO to each five gallons of gas I buy, and I use that gas in my tractor, lawn tractor, generator, lawn mower, etc. I really believe it helps prevent valves from sticking when an engine sits without running. Of course that's just my opinion. I suppose a dab of motor oil in the gas would work just as well.
