When powering a rotary cutter without live power take off and no overrunning clutch 1. Throttle back to idle (May have to ride brake)2. Shift PTO out and it will soon coast to a stop. 3. Throttle up and make turn 4. 4. shift PTO and continue working. I have used this system on old tractors for almost 60 years and have had no trouble. When I started driving tractors the only tractor onn the farm with LPTO was an Oliver 77 and 88. We used this system on the farmalls.
