I think DDT may have played a role in my late father-in-law's bout with cancer. He always had beautiful roses and sprayed them with DDT. When it was lumpy he used his hand to breakup the clumps. He was a farmer from 1916 til the mid 1940's. They never used any spray when on the farm and we didn't use it either. I was drafted in 1953 and got married. My brother and I graduated in 1951 and he joined the Air Force several days later. Both of us could had deferments on the farm, but we turn down the deferments.
