Not to mention the chemicals in the food we eat & the plastic & other containers it comes in. But, smoking I guess is the 1 way the gov't can get a bunch of money. It's true that cigarettes can & do cause cancer & death. So will alcohol but you sure don't see them trying to stop it again like they did in the 20s. I really don't think raising the price is going to stop anyone from smoking. I said when they hit 50 cents a pack I'd quit--still smoking & probably will till I die. But that's my decision & I don't blame anyone for it. Sorry for the rant, just think smokers get a bad rap sometimes. Keith
