First thing you should check is the voltage regulator. This is the culprit most of the time. I had the same problem with a 3010 gas, I had to change the regulator. After some time, I guess the contacts get sticky in the regulator and the light comes on. All I had to do once in awhile is tap the regulator lightly with a wrench and the light went out. Maybe this is the only problem you might have is just some sticky contacts. Sometimes it can be the simplest things that go wrong.
