Bad typo on my part . Old Mechanic told me More than Once " YOU will LEARN FAR MORE If YOU Are NEVER afraid to ask ??????." ........You need a I&T shop manual c-203 covers the 1070 as well as serveral other models . tractor supply should have a copy .... more clarification on shifting , when adjusted properly and correctly , and Everthing BEING A PERRFECT WORLD ... upon fully depressing clutch (inch pedal) the p/s shifter should return from 3rd all the way to 1st autmatically without manually selecting the shift lever , while in 3rd a shift to 2nd can be acheived by slightly deflecting the clutch , the same repeated deflection would then shift p/s from 2nd to 1st .. ... Sadly too many Power /shift Cases being Used on Farms Today are not in the PERFECT tuning sync , and are being used as thery are.. Because of the poor CASE engineering choice of cables and delicate spools ,, the Case P/s tranny has been heralded by many who "recalling the misunderstood history of Case-O Matic" would rather bad mouth than love and understand and keep in sync all those delicate variables .. Therefore I sTRONGLY RECOMMEND that Anyone With A P/S Tranny Get Themselves in the habit of MANUALLY SHIFTING the Power/S. .. I Strongly believe Case made a terrible Error in Believing that Most farmers would eagerly lift the floor plate each spring and with a couple of turns with a 5/8s wrench have everything Ship /SHAPE in 5 minutes time ... as simple as that sounds and actually is.... the Experienced Knowledge and confidence to tune in a Power Shift does not exist in Every averrage farmer ,, And Who Can Afford to have the dealer come out each spring and spend a few hours prepping a tractor for the next season ....
