My 1070 was worse than that when it came here . not only was the p/s cables way out of whack .. Previous O ,, JAmmed the range selector up bad , to where it only had 2nd and 4th range . those minor problems made the tractor a cheap buy for me .. sent it to friendly case/ihc dealer, who had all in order in 12 work shop hours .. the CASE p/shift automatically should return to 1st from any forward gear 2nd or 3rd ,, to decrease wear on delicate cable adjustments mechanics told me long ago to physically ues the hand selector for each shift . up as well as down shifting ... case p/ashift is not supposed to return to 1st automaticaly EVER ,when in reverse ,,,think About it ,,, That would be He!! on any being mechanical or human ,, these issues could be answered best over on Case forum.. i FEEL THAT THE CABLE ADJUSTMENTS NEED FINE TUNING ,, . AI/T book can walk you thru it...
