You gentlemen here are to be commended. I am of the younger generation. I will be thirty this month. I was raised to Stand when the national anthem is played. I shake the hand of any service man and thank him for his service. I knew that my father , AKA JD seller, served in Vietnam. He would not say much about it though. I have met many of his friend that where over there. In the last several years Dad has started to talk a little about it. I think that our country treats those that serve the country badly. If you are killed fighting for this great nation your family should be taken care of. It does not always happen that way. Did you know that life insurance is void if you are killed in combat??? A local man was just killed in Iraq last year. He was forty years old with a wife and three kids. His reserve unit was called up. His house was mortgaged, like most of us, he had life insurance. His wife is now facing bankruptcy. She has three kids under ten. The government surviver benefits are worse than welfare. We are collecting a fund to pay her house off. The government has the money to bail out the unions and banks but not to take care of the families of our fallen soldiers.
