I live in Washington County Pa the epicenter of the Marcellus Shale gas drilling. Range Resources is the major player here with Chespeake and Rice Energy as well. There has been a lot ofnew hotel construction,4 new suites hotels at one exit off I 79. Too many to count water trucks hauling all of the water/fluids from the process. Yes roads have been damaged and repaired for the most part. Some noise, they are drilling 10 wells on property next to mine right now. It sounds like a tractor engine running at a steady speed. They are just finishing the vertical holes and will do the horizontal portions this fall. I know of several people getting large royalties with pre 20% guarantees.
