we are in northest pa where the gas boom is now my suggestion to you is hold off awhile on cashing in for a lease started here at 50 bucks an acre when my grandfather signed went up to 2500 and started dropping so i signed got 2000 an acre now its up to almost 6000 an acre so unless you are going to lose the farm just wait awhile it will pay off havent had any major problems here eccept some road detiriation mainly because the roads werent built right in the first place but the gas companies are paying to fix the roads and have them done right i see no problems with t at all
