I just use a leather saddle gun scabbard. I mow my hay and pastures with a JD 4020 open station. I keep a Winchester 30-30 in it. I have thinned out most of the ground hogs on my place with it. They don't pay much attention to tractors. I asked the county sheriff about it. He said since I have a carry permit it is legal to carry it. Not legal to shot from the tractor. Which I never do. wink wink. As for the DNR they don't come around my place any more. After two law suites that they had to pay all cost on they don't bother me anymore on my own place. I OWN IT, MAINTAIN IT, PAY TAXES ON IT. SO I WILL DO WHAT EVER I WANT ON IT. I fought for this country. Shed blood, sweat and tears for it. I still have a whole bunch of shrapnel in my back and hip. So if any S O B comes on my property to tell me how he wants me to do it. HE had better be willing to pay the same price I have for the privilege.
