I used to farm 3,000 acres of irrigation, but now work an office job and dabble with 80 acres of dryland (which is just a garden spot compared to the "real" farmers around here).
Am I just a "wanna-be" now??? I can show you all the scars on my knuckles from the years when I was the "real thing"...
I used to show up at the coffee shop greasy & dirty and enjoy a break with everyone else. Everyone from the local banker to the hired hands would show up there... The "real farmers" didn't discriminate against anyone else...
We would talk about anything important to farmers - or just shoot the breeze. Nobody had a rule that we couldn't talk about anything but tractors. Maybe they ought to rename this forum "coffee shop" and let the "real tractor" conversations happen in the brand forums...
Since I don't make it to the coffee shop anymore, this is my substitute...
