It"s all about money. Nebraska (and Oklahoma) used to rule football in the old Big 8 league, but ever since they went to the Big 12 league, Oklahoma and Texas has been getting all the attention and money. The magic carrot was waved in front of the huskers and they bailed, as well as Colorado. As far as bringing anything to the Big 12 basketball table, they other teams were happy to see Nebraska and Colorado leave, as their basketball has always stunk. Has any other team jumped ship, the Big 12 league would have sunk, but they all now claim that each remaining team will get more money than before. They mentioned something about academics in all this, but be real. No college president really cares about academics. Check the graduation rates of a lot of the sports teams........
