new dodge oil pressure

I know this isn't a tractor question, but I use this truck to haul my tractor. I bought a new 2001 dodge 1500 4x4 with the 318 V/8. Everthing works ok, but when the truck reaches normal temp. and I stop at a stop sign or light, the oil pressure drops. It dosn't go all the way to nothing, but drops a little past center gauge. Am using 10-40 oil. While driving it stays at about 3/4 gauge. I asked the dealer about this, and he said that all dodges do that. Not to worry. Never had a dodge before, so am asking if any one else has one that does this. Thanks.
