Wow, what a difference location makes. We have gone from drought in the past few years up to and including this past April, to being completely flooded out in May (and continuing today with another few inches of rain in the forecast). Just over half of the seeding has been done in our province (Saskatchewan) to date, and half of our hayfields are under 3-4 inches of water. For those fields not submerged, it has been too cold for the grass to do much in the way of significant growth. I may be doing our first cutting in August this year. Just a bizarre year all around the continent.
