Jeff is right. It does. The way you can tell for sure is the small D opening on the opposite side of the battery wire hook-up with the red insulator. With the vehicle running at 1500 to 2000 rpm you could put a paper clip into that hole about 3/4 of an inch and touch the case to full field the alternator and therefore check alt amperage output. It needs to be 90% of rated output(at least for cars). Don't full field for more than 10 seconds or the alt can be hurt. Gerard
