Lot's of CaCl still used around here, even on the big 4-wheelers. While it does take some care to prevent oozes, it is the best balast if your tractor reall needs it. But then, up here in Minnesota, winshield washer fluid tends to freeze up in the jug too, wouldn't want a tire full of that expensive stuff! :) My tire coop would not be happy with me either.

I do agree it's good to use iron or a 3-point block for operations that can use it.
