I put the fuel tank on the 9000 - it leaks at the solder joint for the brass drain fitting. Removed tank, set it upside down, cleaned around it, the solder looked porous, heated it up, came apart, joint was all crappy.Wire brushed and fluxed both sides clean. heated tank and fitting, resoldered with regular plumbing solder, the solder sucked right in. I let it cool a little then gave it a little tug and it pulled right off. The solder didn't adhere to the steel. Do I need different cleaner or different solder?
