I was putting in the lenses on tractor headlights last night and I thought someone would know exactly why the inside of the lens is rippled with grooves, etc. Also noticed that the lens is marked "top" on the outside of the lens. Do the ripples or grooves magnify or redirect the light somehow? And why is there a topside indicated?
