I would say that atleast 75% of the guys on this site that farmed before the modern cab have rining in the ears , that makes us all at least 10% disabled . A lot of the add on cracker box cabs were louder than know cab . Running a IH 856 when I was about 18 and it was so loud in that cab I could nt stand it so I stuck cigerette filters in my ears , ended up at the emergency room getting them dug out that night . Never stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ear !!
