PTO Shaft

I have a 540 Cockshutt with a 6 spline pto shaft. I have a bush hog with the 6 spline yoke that fits the shaft. I just bought a snow blower with a 6 spline yoke but it won't fit on my pto shaft. It looks the same as the bush hog yoke. Are there different size 6 spline yokes? Thanks for any information. Hope I have lots of time before I need to use the snowblower.
