I am not to bad working with sheetmetal. I just recently relined the left floor board of a rusty 85' Dodge pickup with some gal. sheetmetal. I have a good old pair of Milwaukee electric shears that make cutting it very fast. I have plenty of scrap sheetmetal, angle, pipe etc. of many sizes and thicknesses, some stainless(wouldn't that be the talk of the town-stainless fenders, probaly not) laying around I got free for scrap, so the metal won't cost me a dime. I probaly will recess the flasher and tail lights under the fenders. My Uncle has a sheetmetal break I could borrow to make the job easier. Thanks for the input.
