If you don't really care that things are original, why not cannibalize a set of fenders from another rusty hulk somewhere (that you might pick up for free) and adapt them to fit on your 460? I have a little Massey 101 Jr and the fenders were so bad, I couldn't even think about trying to fix them. My friend gave me a set of smaller clamshell fenders from a Case VA and I welded on some brackets, etc. and bolted them down to the floorboards, and to be honest, I think they were a big improvement over the Massey design (which I always thought looked to big and clumbsy on the Junior). You'd be surprised what would work. Keep searching, I would have to agree with the other posts about the work effort involved in making your own.
