Ivan take the single wire from alternator to one side of ampmeter then off the other terminal go to switch key or batt. if it shows discharge reverse wires on ammeter that takes care of alternator.Now 6v.Positive to 12v neg.ground cable put on neg. post and hot cable put on + post,now go up to the distributor and coil and the wire going from coil to points put on _ terminal the + terminal will go up to the switch key and if you put electronic ignition in while you are doing this transformation you will be in bussiness. Hope this helps and don't confuse you to bad OLD JOHN T. usually handles thes ignition problems and upgrade he must be napping or something he's been awful quite lately. Later Gman
