I still farm with many of YT, mostly Olivers and Molines. The reason we farm with the older tractors is that they are much simpler to work on and repair, the parts are still very available, they are tougher and built stronger and will take the abuse in the field much better then the newer ones, and they cost half to a third as much in price. Yes I would love to have a brand new CIH or New Holland tractor, but my 1850 Oliver can do anything those new ones can with many of the same features and I dont have to finance it. That is why I think the older tractors are still the best choice.
