I would have to agree with Burrhead. I would get the diesel. True the gas tractor will start better. But once you get it started, the gas tractor is a constant problem with carburetor icing (especially 6 cyl. gas tractors) and continual tune up problems in severe weather. If you have a diesel in good shape and put a good heater on it and keep it plugged in, you won't have a problem.
