The original Wolf's Head refinery was located in Reno, PA, on Route 8 between Franklin and Oil City. My grandpa drove a delivery truck for them before they were bought by Pennzoil. Then he drove truck for them.
I remember the refinery when I was a kid - it was on one side of route 8 (a four lane highway-not divided), and the town of Reno (where my grandparents lived) was on the other side, built in a hillside, basically 'facing' the refinery. I think it was the early 80's when most of it was torn down (the gasoline part). I think they continued to make motor oil there for a while - don't know what they do there now, if anything.
Wolf's Head has just become another 'brand name', manufactured wherever. Kinda sad, I think.
