Costs are not all in yet. Twenty six years ago, bought a couple acres and house. In flood plain of course. Bought an easy dozen pumps and got water in house 3 times. Many, many kilowatts expended in process. Much digging, rerouting drains, new sewer, et cetera. First place I could have a tractor. Grow corn. Deer in the back yard. Swimming pool(was washed out twice, never replaced). Snakes, coons, rabbits, ground hogs. Big barn for welding, engine swaps, whatever.(had to get concrete floor) Lots of good but lots of work and double the initial investment of 50 grand. Count your blessings. I enjoy it but getting too old to do much. Also gas tank in ground rusted out(never settled that one yet)probably can't sell without a fix. Might still bring more than what I got in it. High taxes. I enjoy the place more than a trip to Europe. Praise the Lord.
