The Township Hall where my wife and I go to vote still has a hitching rail and outhouse beside it.
Last election, when I went to vote, I found one of the neighbors had ridden a saddle horse when he came to vote and the horse was tied up at the rail. I was on the job and had my digital camera on the seat of my car so I couldn't resist taking pic of the scene.
I then emailed the pic to our daughter in Washington DC and told her to ask her friends and co-workers how many polling places still have a hitching rail and outhouse. Guess a few people were unaware of our daughter's origins.
