I couldnt agree more...of course I was the one that posted the refered to posting. After attending an auction that had 200 tractors, I feel a little more prepared and confused. So I ordered the book from Hotline and hope to get some use out of it as I buy Tractor and equipment. Well now I've found a Ford 3000 late 1960s with Remote, Posi-traction, no dents, original paint, 4000 hours, excellent rubber, no power steering, one honest owner (friend of a friend) and he wants $5,500. I spent probably a good 30 hours on the internet trying to find a good comparison and THINK it's a reasonable price. I live in the mountains of Virginia and plan to bale hay. PS. At that auction I watched a very excellent Ford7600 go for $5,300. Everyone gasped when that one went and wished they'd jumped in before the gavel droped. A dealer from WV I sat next to said the tractor was to big for his area but an excellant deal. Sigh...
