I've used one of these for 30 years. Some crops it is very good(radishes, carrots, beans, cabbage, lettuce, etc.) but not so good with corn. For some crops like beets, carrots, and cabbage you have to go over the same row a couple of times to get a good stand, but it does work. All I've ever done to mine is replace the drive belt. The row marker is worthless, throw it away. Paul
