I've been shooting a lot of Omni doing body work lately. It's good stuff and I'm used to it. A couple of weeks ago I tried a different store because it's five miles closer than where I've been buying my paint.
I asked for a half gallon of Chevy pickup Code 12 white in Omni base. I didn't catch it till I got to my shop, but the guy mixed Code 11 white. Then when I took it back, he tried to argue that whites were all the same, anyway. Thankfully I'd had the foresight to take color chips so I could show him that even though they were both white, they were nowhere near the same color.
I'll gladly drive the extra 5 miles to my original place. They even found the original formula for a 1958 Edsel for me once.
