Always have the drawbar @ max legal height for the class. Reduces weight/drag on the sled pan & puts more weight on the tires for traction.
Loss of drawbar height from front wheels lifting signicantly,drawbar bending down or too low rear tire pressure allowing rear end to squat is the difference from being in the top 10% or being an "also ran".
Max weight for the class is a must, even 1% of class weight in the 6500lb class can be 30 to 60 lbs of drawbar pull.
