I am looking for a compact tractor for our plant. This would be doing lawn mowing as well as run of the mill landscape work, moving dirt around and the usual tasks.
It will be replacing a very old Massey Ferguson model 165 that we only use when we need a front end loader (Kelly model 800 loader) and a way too small riding lawn tractor that is eating us alive on parts and downtime for repairs. The MF gets used so seldom that the diesel engine develops issues from sitting. It's outside and the tires are starting to rot. Just what you would expect from equipment that just sits.
I found a private party that has a 1990 Kubota B9200 HST 4wd, power steering, FEL, backblade and a belly mower. Loaded turf tires, 650 hrs on the meter. Asking price is $9,000.00
Any comments on this tractor? I am told that it has the 4cyl that was replaced with today's 3 cyl.
Overall it's in what I would call average condition but does not look to have been abused. Runs well, no leaks. Tires show some checking but they have good tread. Seat is in good shape. Mower deck wheels are worn but the deck shell isn't worn through anywhere.
I think $9K is high and my instinct is that this is a $7500.00 range machine.
