In Iowa, if you leave a dead pig or cow in the open waiting on the rendering truck, the county will be after you big time. Last week, I was down to the backside of the local county park and found probably 50 dead deer in a pile. When I asked they said those were roadkill picked up by the county and state DOT. I said why not pay for rendering and they said we can't afford that!Besides, we're "giving them back to nature".
Seems nature can't take a pig or a cow. I guess I don't mind rules near as much if the rulemakers have to follow them too.
