I made a mistake with a tube last fall. Had a front tire that needed aired every few days, so grabbed a new tube at Rural King. Got the right size (duh) but when I went to put it in the tire I discovered that the valve stem came out of the center of the tube like a motorcycle. Always in a hurry, and it's 40 miles round to return it, so I muscled it together. Figgered it would maybe make the day. Still holding air - now I'm curious just how long it will last. Wait - I know - second round of hay mowing it will fail. . . But I've got another ready to replace it when it goes. And it's got the valve where it's sposed to be.
