Well Sir, I am not the most educated on here, but I am an electrical engr. I mostly work with turbines and 100MW generators. My feelings are...the automotive industry is the only one where controls circuits are not mandated to use shielded cable. I truly think if they used shielded wiring in the circuits controlling the engine management systems, most of the problems would go away. I feel they are getting infulence from other circuits in that control system. Just my 2 cents.
