Oldryder, I've got one in 4X4, with loaded ag tires. I love mine, plenty of power for what I need. I don't know what you need the tractor for on your hobby farm. If you want to mow hay, with a cycle mower, or rake hay the 750 will do that. If you need a baling tractor, you will need to look elsewhere as it's not big enough. My land is red clay and I pull one 16 inch bottom plow in 2nd gear at about 2/3 throttle, about 6 inches deep in 2wd. I also pull a 7 footed ripper about 5 or 6 inches deep in 2nd in unplowed ground. I've got 14 pieces of equipment, so I use this tractor for everything. In over 1500 hours, the only thing done to it was routine maintenance. I hope I've helped you, Todd.
