Old, why would someone give you grief about collecting SSD? It's not like you haven't worked, and deserve something.
Due to aches and pains I've picked up over the years...most likely will get a disability rating. Am told they take the portion of your disability from the pension, and it's given to you as tax free. Not sure, but it sounds like your getting something you have earned, but just getting it without being taxed on it. Not happy or proud; but it could make a difference on how hard I have to work as a civilian to support my family. My lower back, knees, and neck are not in good shape (common for my AFSC).
If someone thinks your getting rich, they must know somehting the rest of us don't.
