Yeah I figured somebody would bring that up. Don't get me wrong here as I broke the law also and would never protest a ticket I deserved. But in my defense, I was in the middle of nowhere on a rural stretch of dry road in broad daylight. The cop wasn't highway patrol but the county sheriff. I think he just wanted to visit. He was the first car I'd met in twenty miles. I was on a 65 mph highway where most people set the cruise at 70 and don't get bothered by cops with radar. I didn't have my cruise set, was just rolling up and down the gentle hills and and happened to met him at about 73. I don't think he was too concerned about giving me a ticket anyway. The car that come up behind us only helped him confirm that decision. I certainly wasn't driving wrecklessly or endangering others.
