Road Trip/Ticket/Thanks

Caught speeding just a little. As the officer was getting out of his car, another vehicle blew past without moving over or slowing down. He couldn't let me go fast enough with a verbal warning and said "I want that guy", and he was gone. Thank You to whoever it was that saved me from my ticket with one of your own. You are an idiot and deserved it. Either you had criminal intent and you put the officers life in danger on purpose, or your ignorant of the law requiring you to slow down and move over at flashing yellow lights, or your just an inconsiderate azz you doesn't care about other people's safety and well being. I hope he teaches you a lesson because your probably the same guy who doesn't stop for flashing lights on school buses when my kids are getting off and the your the same guy who speeds past within a few feet of my wife on the side of the road changing a tire and your the same guy who plows through an accident scene when my neighbors just got into a serious wreck and people are still laying on the road. I can't tell you how many times you've been lucky to not have killed someone with your reckless actions and your uncaring and selfish attitude. You a real winner and an asset to our society.

Not to take away from your hapiness, but, he probaly has your liscense plate number and you may recieve a ticket irreguardless. Hopefully you don't and goodluck. Toby.

It amazes me that people will not move over for vehicles stopped on the side of the road.

This is all fine and dandy but you know the likely hood of the guy seeing this post is something like 1 in a billion. Ya I know your upset but hey calling him names here will not do any thing to help him slow down but yep he may well have saved you a few $$

That fine will be like a friend of ours, she could not figur out why the car in front of her was driving so slow so she passed, passing and running 45mph in a 20mph school zone cost her 500.00.

It amazes me that people will flash their lights, curse, and make rude gestures at me when I go the posted limit in a school or work zone.

The law about changing lanes for a police car cost a friend of mine a big fine and 4 points a few weeks ago. He was on the interstate, with heavy traffic, so he could not move over, and he had traffic right behind him, so he could not slow down too much..

Yeah I figured somebody would bring that up.
Don't get me wrong here as I broke the law also and would never protest a ticket I deserved.
But in my defense, I was in the middle of nowhere on a rural stretch of dry road in broad daylight.
The cop wasn't highway patrol but the county sheriff. I think he just wanted to visit.
He was the first car I'd met in twenty miles. I was on a 65 mph highway where most people set the cruise at 70 and don't get bothered by cops with radar. I didn't have my cruise set, was just rolling up and down the gentle hills and and happened to met him at about 73. I don't think he was too concerned about giving me a ticket anyway. The car that come up behind us only helped him confirm that decision. I certainly wasn't driving wrecklessly or endangering others.

Yeah I know he'll never see this post. It was more of a sarcastic rant on todays society in general. I was provoked to write that post by the image that keeps playing over and over in my mind. I keep seeing the cop getting out of his car and walking toward my vehicle in my side view mirror. I don't know how that car actually missed the cop and it could have ruined somebodys day for absolutely no reason. It just makes me mad every time I think of it. Then I think of all the other stupid things I've witnessed in my life and felt that posting it might remind others to check their own driving habits or remind their family what to do in certain situations. I'm still amazed when I go to populated areas at how many people don't pull over for an ambulance with flashing red lights. But hey, I still live in an area where people pull off the road for a funeral procession and a farmer caught working along side the road will stop his tractor and stand along side of it with his hat in hand to pay respect.

Ya sort of like the woman in a nice new BMW who thought she had to pass me and then turn off into the bank parking lot which in turn caused me to have to go from 30-40 mph to 10 mph. She could have dropped behind me instead and not lost any time and not cause me a problem but heck no she just had to jump in front of me and slow me down. I came so close to pulling in behind her and then figured why should I if I said something she would probably pull out a cell phone and call the cops and then I would get a ticket for road rage. People now days do not care and till they do this world is/will keep going down hill. Sad but true how people believe what they are told not what they can learn if they read the right stuff
