Son has a similar 1600, but it is a 1964 model and a lighter duty truck than yours. I have driven full loads of beans but don't dare go over 45 as the steering is pretty loose. Without power steering, and that fairly primitive Ross gearbox, it is a challenge. But with yours being newer, maybe they had gone to a better steering gear box by then.
I think I could come to love that old binder. I do have a warm spot in my heart for those trucks.
